Well jebus, if you're all going around with that attitude no wonder you're miserable about the whole relationship thing.
A chip on your shoulder is not an attractive feature, beit for a bloke or a chick.
I've been burned, I've been treated like crap by blokes, but I don't think you're all the same, I just put it down to bad judgement on my part, or the fact that I wasn't assertive enough, or naivete or that his mother dropped him on his head too much as a child, or that he was the son of the devil (He has a lot of those running around) but I learned from my experiences and took what I needed to from the whole thing and moved on.
Granted I hated their guts for months afterwards, but no wanker/bitch/whore/knobjockey is worth making yourself miserable over.
I'm a complete and utter cynic when it comes to affairs of the heart. I can't take romance seriously, I'd rather chew off my own arm than watch a chick flick, or talk about feelings I don't believe in love at first sight, or soul mates. I was out kickin' football and fighting with boys when all my friends were in designing wedding dresses and talking about how many babies they were going to have (*shudder*) That whole thing still makes me uncomfortable.
We're not all alike, but we can all be total headfucks when we want to be (That goes for the boys too).
I did have a point ready to make when I started this, but I can't remember how to put it so I guess ...
Speaking from experience, life's too short to allow some fuckwit to continue making you miserable. Only you can decide to get past them and get on with your life. If they're that much of a fuckwit they're likely already out there being fuckwitty to someone else so why would you worry about them? Being bitter and angry doesn't help you, it wastes too much energy that you could be speding having sex, or playing football, or drinking, or I dunno ... Writing poems. Why give that psycho bitch whore, or whatever pet name you have for them, the ability to continue to make you miserable? Don't let them have that power.
