I went in to town last year for a bit, but NEVER again. It was absolutely disgusting. If I want to see people urinating and puking on the streets I'd rather not do it at 3 in the afternoon.
The only thing I like about Paddy's Day is Shamrock Shakes.
I'll be out at a function the night before so if I'm still in town the next da I might pop into the parade on my way home.

a lot of events on paddy's eve so i reckon il make a weekend out of it, if possible avoiding town on paddys daytime

Aye, was thinking that alright. Pity really, although last year I spent more time walking down the quays trying to find a place to watch them than anything. Ended up giving up after a few minutes of trying to see over people's heads and just going into the pub while it was quiet with everyone out on the streets. |

yup well they aint on. emailed into the show and they rang up the festival people. because of more developments at the dosk there are more buildings and people there now so it's too confined to set up there. it's not on this year and they're trying to find somewhere for next year.
