Dunno if we have any readers on the forum... I recently picked up To Kill A Mockingbird for the 5th time the other day when I was bored...I lost communication with the world as a result. I love that book...definitely one of my favourites. Or Catcher in The Rye. Probably cliche, but it's still great.

I love To Kill A Mockingbird. I didn't like Catche in the Rye though, found it a bit tedious, or something. I like Franny and Zooey though, so it wasn't just that I didn't like Sallinger.
It's really hard to list my favourite books ...
I really loved Regeneration by Pat Barker and when I was a lot younger I loved Summer of My German Soldier. At the moment I'm reading more factual books, Siege at Jadotville and Unspeak (The power of radio eh?) Still haven't finished George Hook's bio, got distracted on New Year's Eve and haven't gotten back into it yet.

I started our old friend McWilliams' book there a while back, but got distracted by to kill a mockingbird. I recently read Slaughterhouse 5 by Vonnegut, so I'm going to read a few more Vonnegut, maybe when I'm on holidays.

I like Michael Crichton: Jurassic Park & Prey. The Lord of the Rings: Class, and The Beach by Alex Garland. (All read before they were films) planning on getting the third policeman by irish author flann O'brien (there's a big hype over it appearing in LOST). Do like a good book though.

Another book I'd highly recommend is the war book "Rome 44" an amazing gritty true life read about the Italian campaign.
