I think internet discussion forums are generally more inclined to have male members. Things like Bebo *hiss* and livejournal are more girlie, as the girls can rabbit on about themselves and get attention for themselves.
Discussion forums tend to show up girls lack of techy ability, or intelligence.
That or make the forum colours pink?
That way you'll get no lads ... Well ... Ones with dignity at least and the girleens might find it a more attractive place to visit.

Oh definitely exception to the rule. I've 2 female friends one of whom is a nerd same as meself, other one still uses "txt spk" in e-mails and is addicted to Bebo, if I mentioned IRC to her she'd be lost. I'm more nerdy than the average girl, but compared to a lot of nerds I'm clueless. I've always been a bit of a tom boy though  |

I agree, i hate bebo.
Tho on the issue of not enough people (inc. girls), i blame polpolpol. it's cos of his comments about newtalk106 peeps that newstalk sort of... disowned this forum and no longer mention it on the air. damn that polpolpol!! *angry shudder*
