well spotted. moncrief only gets 500 texts a day,i thought it would be more, whole station probably receives 10,000 a week and get only 7.5cent a text gross profit,so only 750euro a week gross profit from texts and they decide to cause all this uproar and maybe hit the success of shows/station due to lower listerner interaction/feedback,well done the einstein who thought up this idea. o2 should provide the text service for free/sponser it like today fm does. maybe all the texts newstalk receive costs them money in the form of having people have to read all the texts coming in before the presenter gets them, but the feedback and input is worth a lot more to them ,they store all the texts on computers and can search through them to find listeners who texted in and had an opinion/experience relating to a certain topic.

I must say fair play to Dunphy, I was listening to him at bang on 7 in the morning and the first thing he said was how much he disapproved of the whole idea. He stuck it out for the supporters; us, the little guy if you will. Support the revolution!
