..when they say they'll protect you if you come forward with any information regarding as this gangland stuff???
Although I'd love to be able to say that yeah of course I'd do all I can to put these people behind bars, in all honestly I don't know if I would risk it!!

Funny, i was listening to that on the news and just laughed as the guard was trying to sound so sincere. I'm not sure i'd trust them especially with the rate people are dying.

no wouldnt trust them...
if i knew something, the most i would do is ring the confidential hotline. i owuld never disclose my identity to the garda. i'd trust some of the gangs more then the gardaí

some of these gangs DO speak to the gardai for a "blind eye" to certain things. they exchange info.
if i was a secret informant and a gang wanted to know who was informing then what do you think the Gardaí would do?

Fairly sure I wouldn't say anything to anyone, I'd soil meself at every creak at night worrying if I did.
I don't see how they could protect you or for how long.
They would probably rename you Thompson and move you to Murder Lake, but seriously it couldn't be worth it.
