Just got a spanking new iPod today. kind of a xmas present to myself. just wondering, who has mp3 players and who doesnt?

I like my CDs, although the discman I have is a little bulky and it's a bit wrecked from all the times I've dropped it on the train/bus/road/footpath etc.

yea i just got sick of that. i would have my cd player, and my ickle walkman for newstalk daily listening going to college and when in college and the cd's etc just get too messy. so i worked my arse off over xmas and treated myself. well worth it! stay away from the sony one though if you're getting one, it's gotten bad reviews from web sites, and more importantly, the people who bought the yokes.

My little bro has a Samsung jobbie which is nice and small and neat, but I'll have a look around a bit more I think.
My boyfriend has had 3 iPods over the past year and has had problems with them, maybe he's just unlucky, they (apple) haven't been particularly helpful. So I'm not sure about them either.

I have one, Philips 20gb and I can safely say its shite. shite software, slow player, constantly hanging...oh and it doesnt even turn on anymore. i'll never but philips again
Sorry to burst you bubble but i would NEVER, EVER, buy OR recomend an iPod. They are by far the most un-reliable of all mp3 players. Peats electrical store don't stock them as they say "they are too unreliable" their exact words. Out of everybody I know with one, only one has never had trouble with them. Apple have suck a shrewd marketing department that everyone thinks they are the bee's knees. It upsets me when people who have mp3 players call them iPod's regardless of their manufacturer. or when people say "whats the difference between an mp3 player and an iPod...AAAHHHHH!
by far the best make is creative. i can not recomend them enough and I don't even have one. just from using my housemates and friends. the best software and players.
